Wyeth Barclay (a.k.a. Dub B)C.E.O. of SeaReal Records Artist Executive Producer
Wyeth Barclay (a.k.a. Dub B) - C.E.O. of SeaReal Records. A recording artist in his own right, Dub B combines a keen business sense with a steadfast conviction that Seattle is home to a growing urban culture that sets rap, hip-hop and R&B at the apex of creative achievement. To support his belief that artists must speak in a clear and truthful voice without being restrained by corporate watchdogs, SeaReal Productions, a division of SeaReal Records, offers a safe-haven, state-of-the-art Pro Tools recording studio where newly signed SeaReal artists can express themselves as they hear fit. Finely tuned to the leadership of the company, Dub B is well acquainted with the recording world. His first CD, Seareality (scheduled for release in November 11, 2003), contains the single “The World Keeps Changing” and features the recording artistry of Layzie Bone of “Bone Thugs and Harmony” as well as Thin C (Real Hot/Mo Thug Records), Reggie Watts of Maktub, Om of Hells Bell, SLS, D.J. NYNE, Hush, Kae One, ADE-O, Tuan, and Janice. Written just as the United States went to war in Iraq, the lyrics reflect parallel worlds spinning out of control with young people dying in the streets and young people going to wage a war. Asking questions that have gone unanswered for decades, Dub B asks again in a voice that is both heartfelt and rhythmic and more refined than similar genres of the past. Dub B recently joined Layzie Bone on a two-month cross-country tour with additional tours set to coincide with the release of Seareality. |
